Safety Tips

Sex offenders commonly have unusual behavior or traits that would allow an observant individual to spot them from the crowd. At first, these people will do their best to hide it in order to avoid suspicion as they draw themselves close to their prey. Most of the time, they hide their malicious motive in the guise of good moral behavior and deeds. If one pays enough attention, some of signs will reveal themselves and as soon as they do, a counter should be prepared.

What are the signs that one must look out for? Here are a few listed below:

  • Adults that prefer to keep themselves occupied with children
  • Single adults that spends a significant amount of time doing volunteer works and allocates their free time to special activities with children.
  • Adults who spend a significant amount of time with an organization that their children, if they have any, are not part of.
  • Adults that is very touchy when interacting with children. These touches include caressing, tickling, wrestling, combing hair and having children sit on their lap.
  • Adults that show strange behaviors when interacting with children (ie: acting like one themselves).
  • Allowing children to do inappropriate things with them
  • Adults frequently planning outings and other activities that involve getting alone with children.
  • Adults that do not have children themselves but are up to date with the latest trends and fads.
  • Adults that your children are fond of, and vice versa, for some reason.
  • Adults that frequently join social and family gathering and invite themselves whenever watching your kids.

These are just a few traits that sex offenders have. There others that exhibit strange behaviors not in the list, make sure you remain vigilant whenever monitoring adults that are around children most of the time.
