In 2004, the Senate has given its approval to post the names and the photographs of registered sex offenders in Vermont. This is great news indeed since it will be easier for the people of Vermont to familiarize themselves with the appearance and names of registered sex offenders in their area.

Most kids these days spend a lot of time surfing the net, by launching a website with a database dedicated for sex offender registry within the state, they can search if a person they’re hanging out with is a convicted sex offender. It is not strange for sex predators to victimize minors, most sex offenders are convicted with crimes against children. It also saves people the trouble of going to the Sheriff’s Office or the police headquarters to check on the names and physical descriptions of sex offenders. However, the addresses of these convicted individuals can only be obtained through police stations.
